How to order images of objects from the Collection online?

The method of ordering an image of a given object depends on its legal status:

I. Objects in the public domain

If an item is marked „public domain,” it means that the copyright has expired. In this case, the museum provides high-resolution image files of the item (e.g., TIFF). These can be ordered and paid for online.

Pricing:

File for non-commercial use – PLN 35 gross

File for commercial use – PLN 118 gross

How to order:

  1. Add the image of the item marked „public domain” to your order using the „+” icon next to the image.
  2. Complete the online order form.
  3. After payment via PayU or bank transfer, the files will be sent within a maximum of 5 business days.

By ordering, you agree to immediate processing and, in such a case, you have no right of withdrawal (in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act).

II. Copyrighted Objects

If an object is marked as © CMWŁ, © reserved – CMWŁ license, or © CMW – copyright holder, the use of its image requires the signing of a license agreement.

Pricing:

File for non-commercial purposes – PLN 35 gross

File for commercial purposes – PLN 118 gross

How to order:

  1. Add the image of the object marked as © CMWŁ or © reserved – CMWŁ license to your order using the „+” icon next to the image.
  2. Complete the online request form.
  3. The Museum will prepare and electronically send a draft agreement within 10 business days.
  4. After accepting and signing the agreement, you will receive an invoice, which must be paid within 7 calendar days.
  5. After payment has been received, the images will be shipped within a maximum of 5 business days.

Failure to pay by the deadline means cancellation of the order.

III. What does „commercial” and „non-commercial” use mean?

Commercial – use of images for commercial purposes, such as advertising, promotional campaigns, paid publications, or commercial websites.

Non-commercial – activities that are not intended for profit, such as scientific publications, theses, educational websites, blogs, and free teaching materials.
